Poultry Meat Training Initiative

Have you completed the required Poultry Passport training?

The Poultrymeat Training Initiative (PMTI) or Poultry Passport has become a formal standard for producers to achieve the necessary industry training, as notified in the Red Tractor Standards Broilers & Poussin manual (ACP)(SC.1.3).   British Poultry Training formally the Poultry Meat Training Initiative (PMTI) is made up of representatives from the large national poultry processors and growers, Lantra (the sector skills council for the land based sector), British Poultry Council, National Farmers Union and Poultec Training (an independent poultry training specialist and National Skills Academy Champion for Meat and Poultry). British Poultry Training has established minimal training requirements for each role within the industry.

Datapoul is able to offered subsidised courses under the PMTI in:-

  • Poultry Welfare
  • Manual Handling
  • Health & Safety
  • Hygiene and Biosecurity
  • Environmental Awareness

Courses are run by Poultec Training Limited, a leading training  provider, awarded the Training Quality Standard and approved as a National Skills Academy and Centre of Vocational Excellence.

Poultry Welfare                                               Tuesday         29th January 1.00pm –  4.00pm
Poultry Welfare                                               Wednesday   30th January 9.00pm – 12.00pm
Farm Hygiene and Biosecurity                     Wednesday   30th January 1.00pm –  4.00pm

Courses will be held at the Best Western Hotel, Tiverton, EX16 4DB.
Cost:  *All courses cost £39.50 plus VAT.  If staying for both courses on 30th January, lunch can be provided at a cost of £5.75 per head plus VAT.

New Environmental Awareness short course to be completed by, Farm Managers, Assistant Farm Managers and Relief Farm Managers sign up now!
